Abstract:For improving armor protection ability, on the basis of powder-type cover with double-layer composite liner, two-layer structure of inner cover (not contacting with explosives) and housing (contacting explosives) thickness ratio of 1: 1 was designed. Using the LS-DYNA3D software and the ALE method of multi-material, five kinds of distribution were analyzed. They were inner aluminum outer copper, inner copper outer aluminum, inner iron outer copper, inner copper outer iron and both copper, all of which was single-metal comparison group. In the case that the structure of the powder-type cover, the quantity of explosive and height of burst were identical, jet shape and the fracture situation whose residual penetration depth and the opening size of the jet on the semi-infinite target were compared under different conditions. The analysis result showed that the jet shape and the penetration effect of the inner copper outer aluminum formation were the best. It could provide reference for the optimization and design of powder-type cover with bimetallic composite liner.
