In order to study the applicability of 80 mm individual tube-shape weapons which can be launched from limited space in counter-terrorism operations, the future development needs and the requirements of counter-terrorism equipment on individual weapon was analyzed. By summarizing the tactical characteristics of “new 80 individual weapons” and comparing it with 93 mm individual rocket, the result shows that “new 80 individual weapons” has new launching technology, small launching trace, high shooting accuracy, and it can be launched from limited space. Therefore, it can be concealed in counter-terrorism combat. It is especially suitable for tactical occasions such as special combat, close combat, counter-terrorism and sudden attack. It will be an efficient new weapon in counter-terrorism operations.
